About Me.

Just like the rooms I design, my story of how I became an interior enthusiast is pretty unique. After spending 8 years in the corporate world, recruiting talent, and enhancing cultures for tech startups, I learned a lot about why people do what they do. More specifically, understand what factors were considered in making the big decision to join a new company, and ultimately why they stayed. A lot of the time, these decisions were primarily based on if their surroundings made them happy.

So, what began as assisting my virtual colleagues in redesigning their zoom backgrounds, quickly turned into decorating another room of theirs and then their kitchen. As a result, my passion to help people love where they work turned into helping people love where they lived.

If I was to be described as an interior design style, it would be Transitional. This style shifts seamlessly through time, typically grounded in traditional elements but incorporates touches of contemporary style, to ensure it's a style that can constantly evolve.

What Can A Designer Do For You?

If you're asking if hiring a designer is worth it, you've come to the right place for an honest answer. Spoiler: The short answer is YES. Working with a designer is a big decision because it's an investment for your home and for your future. You're here because you understand the importance of creating a space that not only looks beautiful but also functions in a way that supports your daily activities and lifestyle. However, achieving this balance can be a challenge.

We've all seen it - A friend or family member decides to take on their own renovation or redesign, and a few years go by before they feel "close to finished". You understand the time, emotion, and expenses a design project takes. That's where working with an interior designer can make all the difference. The expertise and resources a designer has can bring your vision to life while maximizing the potential of your space. From selecting the perfect color scheme to optimizing the flow of your layout, an interior designer can help you transform your home into a haven that reflects your unique personality and meets your practical needs.

We can’t afford to waste our time on meaningless searches or our time on non-functional design. I'm here to make sure you don't make the same *painful* mistakes I've made! The lessons learned I've had on my journey thus far as a designer make me confident to take on different roles throughout the design process. I ensure every decision regarding your home's design is made with thoughtful intention, based on your budget, needs, and preferences. To me, every detail matters. Outside of design, here's what I can do for you:

Educator

I live, eat and breathe interior design. This means I'm constantly learning about design principles. I'm keeping up with current trends and innovations to help make informed decisions about personal style preferences, materials, finishes, and other design elements. Including energy-efficient design strategies and the importance of choosing sustainable products and materials.

Cheerleader

If designing was easy, everyone would do it! It's my job to expect the unexpected so you don't have to. I'm here to provide the support, encouragement, and motivation needed to create a space that reflects your unique personality and style. I want to validate and celebrate your self-expression by bringing your vision to life!

Coordinator

Unpopular opinion: Interior designers' roles could be compared to event planners. We serve as a central point of contact and liaison between various stakeholders to help streamline the design process, manage logistics, and ensure that everything comes together seamlessly.

Decision-Maker

Good design does not happen by accident, it's made by well-informed decisions. A joy that will be ever-constant for interior designers is choosing the best of the best! We help narrow down the options. My personal favorite part! We'll stay true to your preferences while balancing the aesthetic and functional aspects of a space. Additionally, we make choices that are both practical and feasible to fit your budget and timeline.
